David Grant
Head of Primary Physical Education
My name is David Grant, and I am the Head of Primary Physical Education at GEMS Wellington Qatar. I originate from a small village called Killeavy in Ireland. I am a passionate educator with 5 years of teaching experience. I hold a BEd Primary (Hons) with Physical Education from St Mary’s University Belfast. I am committed to fostering an engaging, inclusive and creative learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged to reach their full potential. My aim as an educator is to foster a lifelong love for learning and physical activity.
Outside of the classroom I am extremely passionate about sport, particularly my native countries traditional sport of Hurling. I also love my time on the golf course, spending time with family and friends and exploring new hobbies. I believe in maintaining a well-rounded and joyful approach to life, which I also encourage my students to do.
I am excited to contribute my knowledge and enthusiasm to Wellington and look forward to making a positive impact on the students' educational and physical journey!
