Abigail Redfern
Head of Year 7
Hello, I’m Abigail Redfern and I’m Head of Year 7, in addition to my pastoral responsibilities in Secondary I am also a Physical Education teacher for both primary and secondary levels. Sports have always been a passion of mine, starting from a young age. I take great pride in teaching students, helping them discover their favourite sports and develop skills accordingly alongside instilling in them a lifelong understanding of the benefits of physical activity.
Originally from the UK, I have now spent over seven years in the Middle East. Outside of teaching, I enjoy travelling, baking, and reading self-development books. I am honoured to be part of the GEMS WSQ team, and my teaching principles focuses on inspiring a passion for sports and physical activity, aiding them in building confidence, encouraging collaboration and equipping students with valuable life skills through sports.
